Examples 5-8 are carried out as in Example 1, but layers are applied until a green interference color is achieved. Pigments with an additional layer of manganese oxide are obtained: 0.05; 0.1 and 0.2 wt.%, And with the introduction of 1.2 g of MnSO in VO ml of water, 0.5 wt.% Manganese oxide.

A method of producing pearlescent pigment based on mica flakes, including precipitating on flakes in an aqueous suspension alternating layers of titanium and tin hydroxides, washing the resulting product, drying and calcining, characterized in that, in order to improve the light fastness of the pigment, before washing the product an additional layer of manganese hydroxide is deposited in an amount of 0.05-0.5 wt.% in terms of the manganese oxide obtained after calcination.
